What we do with your information
Plain English, because you should not need a solicitor to find out what happens to your own details. Last updated 27 July 2026.
Who we are
Happy Out is a web design and business automation studio. If you are in Ireland or the EU, the company responsible for your information (the data controller) is AP Rowell Marketing Ltd, registered in Ireland, company number 702546. If you are in the United States, it is APR Stores LLC.
You can reach us any time at hello@happyout.io or 087 406 6661.
What we collect, and when
We only collect what you type into a form on this site. There are two:
- The contact form. Your name, email address, phone number if you give one, your business name, and whatever you write in the message.
- The website form at /start. The same contact details, plus what you tell us about the business: your trade, opening hours, services, the areas you cover, what your customers are looking for, recent jobs and the towns they were in, competitors, your web address and Google Business Profile if you have them, social links, and your colour and style preferences.
We do not use tracking or advertising cookies, we do not run analytics that profile you, and we do not buy or scrape personal data to contact you.
Why we collect it, and our lawful basis
To reply to you, to prepare a quote or build the website you asked for, and to keep a record of the work. Under GDPR our lawful basis is taking steps at your request before entering into a contract, and where we are already working together, performing that contract. Where we keep records for accounting, the basis is our legal obligation to do so.
We do not send marketing email to people who simply filled in a form. If we ever want to, we will ask you first.
Who else sees it
We use a small number of service providers to run the website and get your enquiry in front of a human. They process your information on our instructions only, and none of them sell it.
| Who | What they do | Where |
|---|---|---|
| Vercel | Website hosting and form delivery | United States |
| Supabase | Database where enquiries are stored | European Union |
| Trigger.dev | Runs the automation that emails us your enquiry | United States |
| Resend | Sends the confirmation and notification emails | United States |
| Google Workspace | Our own email inbox, where your enquiry arrives | United States |
| Stripe | Payment processing, if you become a paying client | United States |
Several of these are based in the United States, so your information is transferred outside the EU. Those transfers rely on the safeguards those providers have in place, such as Standard Contractual Clauses or the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not turn into work are kept for up to two years, so we still have the thread if you come back to us. Records relating to actual paid work are kept for six years, because tax law requires it. You can ask us to delete anything sooner and we will, unless we are legally required to keep it.
Your rights
If you are in the EU or the UK, you have the right to:
- Ask what we hold about you, and get a copy of it
- Have anything wrong corrected
- Have your information deleted
- Ask us to restrict or stop using it
- Receive it in a portable format
- Object to us using it
Email hello@happyout.io and we will sort it within a month, free of charge. If you are not happy with how we handle it, you can complain to the Irish Data Protection Commission at dataprotection.ie.
Changes
If we change how any of this works, we will update this page and the date at the top. Material changes affecting existing clients will be emailed rather than quietly posted.
